Spirit of the Buffalo Camp Fundraiser Info

Spirit of the Buffalo camp is a peaceful prayer camp that protects the land and waters from the Line 3 pipeline expansion.

The Camp is demanding that Enbridge stop building Line 3 and calling for an end to Tar Sand expansions.

Located almost directly on the US/Canada border, the Camp has faced harassment from Border Security and racists over the past 2+ years.

On April 26th the Camp was burned down by Arsonists. The Camp was completely burnt down and the thousands of dollars invested into it were gone.

This fundraiser was planned in discussions with the Camp's leader, Geraldine. All proceeds from the sales of these stickers will go directly to them as they work to rebuild the Camp.

More info from Manitoba Energy Justice Coalition:

"Line 3 is a new $8.2 billion oil pipeline set to be built along the route of a smaller, existing pipeline from the Alberta oil sands, across the prairies and through southern Manitoba, to the shores of Lake Superior. The new pipeline has been billed as a replacement for the existing, aging infrastructure, but in reality is a massive expansion that will nearly double the capacity to 760,000 barrels of crude oil per day.

This pipeline means expansion of the tar sands. It threatens our climate, water, land, and communities. It violates Indigenous rights, and is widely opposed by many Nations along the route."
